We are organizing a Rebellion seeking to change the course of governmental policies. A Rebellion to force our government to put the People first, instead of their corporate masters.

Our government and the corporations which control it have been systematically lying to us about both the existence of and the effects of Climate Change since at least 1980, and probably far longer.


The following are excerpted from a memorandum quoted by the Inside Climate News team, documenting the minutes of a 29th February 1980 of a task force on climate change at the American Petroleum Institute.


Global averaged C rise expected by 2038 at a 3% p.a. growth rate of atmospheric concentration likely to produce globally catastrophic effects

Corporations and Government are literally treating you and your children as collateral damage with their environmental policies. To prevent the extinction of the human race it is imperative that we limit the global temperature increase to less than 2 C regardless of the cost. There will be no jobs on a dead planet. The only way to accomplish this is through non-violent civil disobedience. There is not time to allow for the normal political process to work.

Non-Violent Civil Disobedience is a strategy that has worked in the past, and has been proven to be robust and effective in bringing about governmental and policy change in the past. Research has shown that if as few as 3.5% of the population participates  that it will cause enough economic mayhem that the government will be forced to act. While many XR members are willing to risk arrest & police violence, for those not so inclined there are many ways to become involved. You can support or attend XR marches, join in general strikes by taking time off from work, encourage your children to join in school strikes, donate money and, most important of all, talk to your friends, family and neighbors about how climate change will effect every living being on earth.
